An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in the City of Moreland in 2018/19 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing ($1,842 million or 26.3%)
- Financial and Insurance Services ($809 million or 11.5%)
- Transport, Postal and Warehousing ($610 million or 8.7%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $3,261 million in total or 46.5% of the total imports by industry in the the City of Moreland.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Victoria accounted for 31.1% in Manufacturing; 9.5% in Financial and Insurance Services and 7.3% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.
The major differences between total imports by industries of the City of Moreland and Victoria were:
