Dominant groups

An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in the Moreton Bay in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Manufacturing ($5,947 million or 28.9%)
  • Public Administration and Safety ($2,459 million or 12.0%)
  • Financial and Insurance Services ($1,706 million or 8.3%)

In combination these three industries accounted for $10,112 million in total or 49.2% of the total imports by industry in the the Moreton Bay.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in Greater Brisbane accounted for 37.5% in Manufacturing; 5.7% in Public Administration and Safety and 6.2% in Financial and Insurance Services.
