Dominant groups
An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in the Moreton Bay in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:
- Construction ($7,382million or 24.0%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance ($3,428million or 11.1%)
- Manufacturing ($2,537million or 8.2%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $13,347 million in total or 43.3% of the total local sales by total industry in the the Moreton Bay.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Queensland accounted for 20.2% in Construction; 7.4% in Health Care and Social Assistance and 7.7% in Manufacturing.
The major differences between local sales by industries of the Moreton Bay and Queensland were:
- A smaller percentage of local sales by Mining (0.4% compared to 5.1%)
