Analysis of the resident workers age structure of the Murchison Area in 2016 compared to Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing shows that there was a similar proportion of people in the younger age groups (15 to 44 years) as well as a lower proportion of people in the older age groups (45 years and over).
Overall, 49.9% of the resident workers was aged under 45 years, compared to 48.9% for Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing. 50.1% were aged 45 years and over, compared to 51.1% for Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing.
