An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in the Shire of Northam in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Manufacturing ($207 million or 28.6%)
  • Mining ($156 million or 21.6%)
  • Financial and Insurance Services ($67 million or 9.2%)

In combination these three industries accounted for $430 million in total or 59.4% of the total imports by industry in the the Shire of Northam.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in Western Australia accounted for 26.7% in Manufacturing; 17.9% in Mining and 9.0% in Financial and Insurance Services.
