An analysis of the valued added by industry sectors in the Northern Beaches Council area in 2021/22 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (1,921 million or 12.9%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (1,550 million or 10.4%)
  • Manufacturing (1,316 million or 8.8%)

In combination these three industries accounted for 4,787 million in total or 32.1% of the total value added by industry in the the Northern Beaches Council area.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in Greater Sydney accounted for 12.9% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 7.6% in Health Care and Social Assistance and 6.4% in Manufacturing.
