Overall, 48.9% of the workforce worked part-time (34 hours or less) , and 49.1% worked full-time (35 hours or more), compared with 40.3% and 58.0% respectively for NSW within the Tweed Shire.

The major differences between the hours worked by the workforce in the Tweed Shire and NSW were:
