An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in Northern Midlands Council area in 2019/20 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing ($601 million or 38.1%)
- Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing ($560 million or 35.5%)
- Wholesale Trade ($172 million or 10.9%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $1,333 million in total or 84.5% of the total exports by total industry in Northern Midlands Council area.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Regional TAS accounted for 27.4% in Manufacturing; 24.7% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; and 2.6% in Wholesale Trade.
