An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in the NSROC Region in 2021/22 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Construction ($15,913million or 20.3%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services ($11,515million or 14.7%)
  • Rental, Hiring and Real Estate Services ($7,935million or 10.1%)

In combination these three industries accounted for $35,363 million in total or 45.1% of the total local sales by total industry in the the NSROC Region.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in New South Wales accounted for 20.3% in Construction; 10.1% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services and 8.9% in Rental, Hiring and Real Estate Services.

The major differences between local sales by industries of the NSROC Region and New South Wales were:

  • A larger percentage of local sales by Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (14.7% compared to 10.1%)
  • A larger percentage of local sales by Information Media and Telecommunications (6.5% compared to 3.3%)
