An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in the City of Onkaparinga in 2020/21 shows the three largest industries were:
- Construction ($1,617million or 23.2%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance ($759million or 10.9%)
- Retail Trade ($546million or 7.8%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $2,922 million in total or 41.9% of the total local sales by total industry in the the City of Onkaparinga.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in South Australia accounted for 21.6% in Construction; 7.4% in Health Care and Social Assistance and 4.9% in Retail Trade.
The major differences between local sales by industries of the City of Onkaparinga and South Australia were:
- A smaller percentage of local sales by Rental, Hiring and Real Estate Services (7.1% compared to 10.7%)
