Dominant groups
An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in City of Port Phillip in 2021/22 shows the three largest industries were:
- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (3,061 million or 30.0%)
- Administrative and Support Services (961 million or 9.4%)
- Financial and Insurance Services (914 million or 8.9%)
In combination these three industries accounted for 4,935 million in total or 48.3% of the total exports by industry in the City of Port Phillip.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Greater Melbourne accounted for 9.9% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 2.3% in Administrative and Support Services and 14.2% in Financial and Insurance Services.
The major differences between the total exports by industries of City of Port Phillip and Greater Melbourne were:
