An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council area in 2017/18 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing ($221 million or 27.3%)
- Public Administration and Safety ($218 million or 26.9%)
- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services ($85 million or 10.5%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $524 million in total or 64.7% of the total exports by total industry in the Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council area.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in NSW accounted for 15.3% in Manufacturing; 5.2% in Public Administration and Safety; and 9.3% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.
