Dominant groups

An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in Light Regional Council in 2017/18 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Manufacturing ($254 million or 27.4%)
  • Financial and Insurance Services ($112 million or 12.0%)
  • Public Administration and Safety ($75 million or 8.1%)

In combination these three industries accounted for $440 million in total or 47.5% of the total imports by total industry in Light Regional Council.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in Regional SA accounted for 29.1% in Manufacturing; 10.3% in Financial and Insurance Services; and 5.4% in Public Administration and Safety.
