An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in Light Regional Council in 2018/19 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing ($264 million or 24.4%)
- Financial and Insurance Services ($136 million or 12.6%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance ($116 million or 10.7%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $515 million in total or 47.7% of the total imports by industry in the Light Regional Council.
