Dominant groups
An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in RDA BGLAP Region in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:
- Construction ($969million or 23.0%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance ($434million or 10.3%)
- Manufacturing ($382million or 9.1%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $1,786 million in total or 42.5% of the total local sales by total industry in the RDA BGLAP Region.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in South Australia accounted for 24.2% in Construction; 7.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance and 6.4% in Manufacturing.
The major differences between local sales by industries of RDA BGLAP Region and South Australia were:
- A larger percentage of local sales by Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (9.1% compared to 2.4%)
- A smaller percentage of local sales by Mining (0.4% compared to 6.1%)
- A larger percentage of local sales by Manufacturing (9.1% compared to 6.4%)
