An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in Light Regional Council in 2017/18 shows the three largest industries were:
- Construction (148 people or 19.8%)
- Manufacturing (113 people or 15.1%)
- Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (79 people or 10.5%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $339 million in total or 45.4% of the total local sales by total industry in Light Regional Council.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Regional SA accounted for 23.4% in Construction; 6.2% in Manufacturing; and 7.0% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing.
