An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in Light Regional Council in 2017/18 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Construction (148 people or 19.8%)
  • Manufacturing (113 people or 15.1%)
  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (79 people or 10.5%)
