An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in RDA Darling Downs and South West Region in 2018/19 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing ($6,183 million or 31.6%)
- Financial and Insurance Services ($2,353 million or 12.0%)
- Mining ($1,948 million or 10.0%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $10,484 million in total or 53.7% of the total imports by total industry in the RDA Darling Downs and South West Region.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Queensland accounted for 35.1% in Manufacturing; 10.0% in Financial and Insurance Services; and 7.0% in Mining.
The major differences between total imports by industries in the RDA Darling Downs and South West Region and Queensland were:
