An analysis of the international imports by industry sectors in RDA Darling Downs and South West Region in 2017/18 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing ($4,212 million or 82.3%)
- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services ($159 million or 3.1%)
- Transport, Postal and Warehousing ($156 million or 3.0%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $4,527 million in total or 88.4% of the total international imports by total industry in the RDA Darling Downs and South West Region.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Queensland accounted for 81.0% in Manufacturing; 3.3% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 3.1% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.
