An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in Western Downs Regional Council area in 2017/18 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing ($1,180 million or 38.3%)
- Financial and Insurance Services ($438 million or 14.2%)
- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services ($314 million or 10.2%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $1,932 million in total or 62.8% of the total imports by total industry in Western Downs Regional Council area.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Regional QLD accounted for 37.4% in Manufacturing; 10.6% in Financial and Insurance Services; and 7.9% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.
The major differences between total imports by industries in Western Downs Regional Council area and Regional QLD were:
