Dominant groups

An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in the RDA Kimberley in 2021/22 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Mining (5,605 million or 77.2%)
  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (585 million or 8.1%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (248 million or 3.4%)

In combination these three industries accounted for 6,438 million in total or 88.7% of the total exports by industry in the the RDA Kimberley.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in Regional WA accounted for 82.5% in Mining; 5.9% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing and 1.1% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.

The major differences between the total exports by industries of the RDA Kimberley and Regional WA were:

  • A smaller percentage of total exports by Manufacturing (0.8% compared to 7.6%)
