An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in the RDA Kimberley in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Construction ($827million or 25.9%)
  • Mining ($409million or 12.8%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance ($268million or 8.4%)

In combination these three industries accounted for $1,503 million in total or 47.1% of the total local sales by total industry in the the RDA Kimberley.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in Western Australia accounted for 25.2% in Construction; 11.9% in Mining and 5.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance.

The major differences between local sales by industries of the RDA Kimberley and Western Australia were:
