Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the All industries workforce in the Limestone Coast region in 2021shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Managers (5,295 local workers or 17.7%)
- Labourers (4,706 local workers or 15.7%)
- Technicians and Trades Workers (3,979 local workers or 13.3%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 13,980 people in total or 46.7% of the All industries local workers.
In comparison, South Australia employed 13.0% as Managers; 10.5% as Labourers and 13.2% as Technicians and Trades Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the workforce in the Limestone Coast region and South Australia were:
- A smaller percentage of local workers employed as Professionals (12.7% compared to 21.4%)
- A larger percentage of local workers employed as Labourers (15.7% compared to 10.5%)
