Dominant groups

An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in the RDA Murraylands and Riverland region in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Manufacturing ($1,609 million or 28.4%)
  • Financial and Insurance Services ($570 million or 10.1%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services ($517 million or 9.1%)

In combination these three industries accounted for $2,696 million in total or 47.6% of the total imports by industry in the the RDA Murraylands and Riverland region.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in Regional SA accounted for 28.3% in Manufacturing; 9.4% in Financial and Insurance Services and 8.6% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.
