Dominant groups
An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in the Coorong District Council area in 2018/19 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing ($125 million or 26.1%)
- Financial and Insurance Services ($56 million or 11.7%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance ($53 million or 11.2%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $234 million in total or 49.0% of the total imports by industry in the the Coorong District Council area.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in South Australia accounted for 29.9% in Manufacturing; 10.8% in Financial and Insurance Services and 7.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance.
The major differences between total imports by industries of the Coorong District Council area and South Australia were:
