Dominant groups
An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in the RDA Northern Territory in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:
- Construction ($6,839million or 24.0%)
- Mining ($3,095million or 10.8%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance ($2,539million or 8.9%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $12,473 million in total or 43.7% of the total local sales by total industry in the the RDA Northern Territory.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Greater Darwin accounted for 27.7% in Construction; 1.0% in Mining and 8.6% in Health Care and Social Assistance.
The major differences between local sales by industries of the RDA Northern Territory and Greater Darwin were:
