An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in Sunshine Coast Council area in 2019/20 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing ($1,081 million or 20.5%)
- Accommodation and Food Services ($538 million or 10.2%)
- Retail Trade ($505 million or 9.6%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $2,124 million in total or 40.2% of the total exports by total industry in Sunshine Coast Council area.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Regional QLD accounted for 12.6% in Manufacturing; 3.7% in Accommodation and Food Services; and 2.6% in Retail Trade.
The major differences between total exports by industries in Sunshine Coast Council area and Regional QLD were:
