Dominant groups

An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in RDA Sunshine Coast Region in 2017/18 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Manufacturing ($4,625 million or 41.6%)
  • Public Administration and Safety ($1,175 million or 10.6%)
  • Financial and Insurance Services ($700 million or 6.3%)

In combination these three industries accounted for $6,501 million in total or 58.5% of the total imports by total industry in the RDA Sunshine Coast Region.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in Queensland accounted for 39.3% in Manufacturing; 5.2% in Public Administration and Safety; and 9.0% in Financial and Insurance Services.

The major differences between total imports by industries in the RDA Sunshine Coast Region and Queensland were:
