An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in Noosa Shire Council area in 2017/18 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing ($718 million or 35.5%)
- Financial and Insurance Services ($210 million or 10.4%)
- Public Administration and Safety ($204 million or 10.1%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $1,131 million in total or 56.0% of the total imports by total industry in Noosa Shire Council area.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Regional QLD accounted for 37.4% in Manufacturing; 10.6% in Financial and Insurance Services; and 4.9% in Public Administration and Safety.
