An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in the Noosa Shire Council area in 2018/19 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Manufacturing ($796 million or 34.8%)
  • Financial and Insurance Services ($235 million or 10.3%)
  • Public Administration and Safety ($213 million or 9.3%)

In combination these three industries accounted for $1,244 million in total or 54.4% of the total imports by industry in the the Noosa Shire Council area.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in Queensland accounted for 35.1% in Manufacturing; 10.0% in Financial and Insurance Services and 5.1% in Public Administration and Safety.

The major differences between total imports by industries of the Noosa Shire Council area and Queensland were:
