Dominant groups

An analysis of the output by industry sectors in RDA Sunshine Coast Region in 2017/18 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Construction (6,046 million or 17.9%)
  • Rental, Hiring and Real Estate Services (5,269 million or 15.6%)
  • Manufacturing (2,634 million or 7.8%)

In combination these three industries accounted for $13,949 million in total or 41.4% of the total output by total industry in the RDA Sunshine Coast Region.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in Queensland accounted for 13.4% in Construction; 10.8% in Rental, Hiring and Real Estate Services; and 9.9% in Manufacturing.

The major differences between output by industries in the RDA Sunshine Coast Region and Queensland were:
