Dominant groups

Analysis of the jobs held by the resident workforce in the Fraser Coast Regional Council in 2021shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (7,998 people or 21.3%)
  • Retail Trade (4,166 people or 11.1%)
  • Construction (3,449 people or 9.2%)

In combination these three industries employed 15,613 people in total or 41.6% of the total resident workforce.

In comparison, Queensland employed 15.4% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 9.3% in Retail Trade and 9.1% in Construction.

The major differences between the jobs held by the resident workforce of the Fraser Coast Regional Council and Queensland were:
