Dominant groups
An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in the RDA Wide Bay Burnett Region in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:

- Health Care and Social Assistance ($2,611million or 12.3%)
- Manufacturing ($1,494million or 7.1%)
