Output by industry is a gross measure of the total sales of each industry sector in the RDA Wide Bay Burnett Region. It does not measure how productive each industry sector is at producing this output - which is measured by value added.

An analysis of the output by industry sectors in the RDA Wide Bay Burnett Region in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:
- Construction ($4,880 million or 16.0%)
- Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing ($4,352 million or 14.3%)
- Manufacturing ($3,813 million or 12.5%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $13,045 million in total or 42.8% of the total output by total industry in the the RDA Wide Bay Burnett Region.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Queensland accounted for 13.3% in Construction; 4.0% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing and 10.4% in Manufacturing.
