Mid North Region
In Mid North Region, Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing had the largest total exports by industry, generating $700 million in 2019/20.
Exports by industry are sales of goods and services to non-resident households, businesses and other organisations, outside Mid North Region boundaries. Exports (domestic) include all exports from the area to other parts of Australia. Exports (international) includes all exports from the Region to countries outside Australia.

An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in Mid North Region in 2019/20 shows the three largest industries were:
- Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing ($700 million or 58.7%)
- Manufacturing ($250 million or 20.9%)
- Wholesale Trade ($44 million or 3.7%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $993 million in total or 83.3% of the total exports by total industry in Mid North Region.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Regional SA accounted for 37.7% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; 24.5% in Manufacturing; and 2.6% in Wholesale Trade.
The major differences between total exports by industries in Mid North Region and Regional SA were:
- A larger percentage of total exports by Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (58.7% compared to 37.7%)
- A smaller percentage of total exports by Mining (2.1% compared to 14.5%)
- A smaller percentage of total exports by Manufacturing (20.9% compared to 24.5%)
- A smaller percentage of total exports by Transport, Postal and Warehousing (1.3% compared to 3.5%)
The total exports by industries in Mid North Region decreased by $129.7 million between 2014/15 and 2019/20.
