Dominant groups
An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in RDA Yorke and Mid North Region in 2021/22 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing ($1,913 million or 30.5%)
- Financial and Insurance Services ($599 million or 9.6%)
- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services ($456 million or 7.3%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $2,968 million in total or 47.4% of the total imports by industry in the RDA Yorke and Mid North Region.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in South Australia accounted for 31.2% in Manufacturing; 9.9% in Financial and Insurance Services and 7.9% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.
The major differences between total imports by industries of RDA Yorke and Mid North Region and South Australia were:
- A larger percentage of total imports by Mining (7.0% compared to 3.6%)
- A smaller percentage of total imports by Public Administration and Safety (6.6% compared to 8.1%)
