An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in Yorke Peninsula Region in 2017/18 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Manufacturing ($450 million or 27.7%)
  • Financial and Insurance Services ($169 million or 10.4%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance ($168 million or 10.4%)

In combination these three industries accounted for $787 million in total or 48.5% of the total imports by total industry in Yorke Peninsula Region.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in Regional SA accounted for 29.1% in Manufacturing; 10.3% in Financial and Insurance Services; and 7.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance.

The major differences between total imports by industries in Yorke Peninsula Region and Regional SA were:
