An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in Yorke Peninsula Region in 2017/18 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing ($450 million or 27.7%)
- Financial and Insurance Services ($169 million or 10.4%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance ($168 million or 10.4%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $787 million in total or 48.5% of the total imports by total industry in Yorke Peninsula Region.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Regional SA accounted for 29.1% in Manufacturing; 10.3% in Financial and Insurance Services; and 7.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance.
The major differences between total imports by industries in Yorke Peninsula Region and Regional SA were:
- A larger percentage of total imports by Health Care and Social Assistance (10.4% compared to 7.2%)
- A larger percentage of total imports by Public Administration and Safety (7.0% compared to 5.4%)
- A smaller percentage of total imports by Manufacturing (27.7% compared to 29.1%)
