An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in Southern Flinders Region in 2017/18 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Construction (168 people or 13.5%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (146 people or 11.8%)
  • Retail Trade (95 people or 7.7%)

In combination these three industries accounted for $409 million in total or 32.9% of the total local sales by total industry in Southern Flinders Region.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in Regional SA accounted for 23.4% in Construction; 6.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 5.5% in Retail Trade.
