Dominant groups
An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in Richmond Valley Council in 2021/22 shows the three largest industries were:

- Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (113 million or 16.3%)
- Transport, Postal and Warehousing (23 million or 3.3%)
