An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in the City of Ryde in 2020/21 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing ($4,234 million or 36.3%)
- Transport, Postal and Warehousing ($1,333 million or 11.4%)
- Financial and Insurance Services ($1,262 million or 10.8%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $6,829 million in total or 58.5% of the total imports by industry in the the City of Ryde.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in New South Wales accounted for 34.6% in Manufacturing; 5.0% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing and 9.5% in Financial and Insurance Services.
The major differences between total imports by industries of the City of Ryde and New South Wales were:
- A larger percentage of total imports by Transport, Postal and Warehousing (11.4% compared to 5.0%)
- A smaller percentage of total imports by Health Care and Social Assistance (1.1% compared to 5.0%)
