Dominant groups
An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in the City of Salisbury in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing ($2,240 million or 28.9%)
- Financial and Insurance Services ($721 million or 9.3%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance ($591 million or 7.6%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $3,553 million in total or 45.8% of the total imports by industry in the the City of Salisbury.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Greater Adelaide accounted for 30.2% in Manufacturing; 7.9% in Financial and Insurance Services and 5.7% in Health Care and Social Assistance.
The major differences between total imports by industries of the City of Salisbury and Greater Adelaide were:
- A smaller percentage of total imports by Transport, Postal and Warehousing (4.6% compared to 8.6%)
