Dominant groups

An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in the Scenic Rim Regional Council in 2018/19 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing ($446 million or 43.0%)
  • Manufacturing ($152 million or 14.6%)
  • Public Administration and Safety ($72 million or 6.9%)

In combination these three industries accounted for $670 million in total or 64.6% of the total imports by industry in the the Scenic Rim Regional Council.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in Queensland accounted for 5.4% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; 15.2% in Manufacturing and 5.2% in Public Administration and Safety.

The major differences between total imports by industries of the Scenic Rim Regional Council and Queensland were:
