An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in Scenic Rim Regional Council in 2017/18 shows the three largest industries were:
- Construction (558 people or 24.1%)
- Rental, Hiring and Real Estate Services (267 people or 11.6%)
- Manufacturing (167 people or 7.2%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $993 million in total or 42.9% of the total local sales by total industry in the Scenic Rim Regional Council.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Queensland accounted for 19.1% in Construction; 14.9% in Rental, Hiring and Real Estate Services; and 7.4% in Manufacturing.
The major differences between local sales by industries in the Scenic Rim Regional Council and Queensland were:
