An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in the City of South Perth in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing ($954 million or 32.2%)
- Transport, Postal and Warehousing ($274 million or 9.2%)
- Financial and Insurance Services ($247 million or 8.3%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $1,475 million in total or 49.7% of the total imports by industry in the the City of South Perth.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Western Australia accounted for 26.7% in Manufacturing; 6.8% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing and 9.0% in Financial and Insurance Services.
The major differences between total imports by industries of the City of South Perth and Western Australia were:
- A smaller percentage of total imports by Mining (1.6% compared to 17.9%)
