An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in the City of South Perth in 2020/21 shows the three largest industries were:
- Rental, Hiring and Real Estate Services ($690million or 23.6%)
- Construction ($540million or 18.5%)
- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services ($381million or 13.0%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $1,611 million in total or 55.1% of the total local sales by total industry in the the City of South Perth.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Western Australia accounted for 10.9% in Rental, Hiring and Real Estate Services; 24.7% in Construction and 7.8% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.
The major differences between local sales by industries of the City of South Perth and Western Australia were:
