Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the All industries workforce in Tasmania in 2021shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (48,946 local workers or 20.4%)
- Community and Personal Service Workers (32,990 local workers or 13.7%)
- Technicians and Trades Workers (31,543 local workers or 13.1%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 113,479 people in total or 47.2% of the All industries local workers.
In comparison, Tasmania employed 19.8% as Professionals; 13.7% as Community and Personal Service Workers and 14.0% as Technicians and Trades Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the workforce in Tasmania and Tasmania were:
