Town of Victoria Park
The Town of Victoria Park is located immediately south-east of the Perth CBD. The Town encompasses a total land area of about 18 square kilometres. The Town of Victoria Park is largely residential, with some educational, commercial and industrial areas.
Key employment sectors in the Town of Victoria Park include education and training, arts and recreation services, retail trade, and health care and social assistance. The Town of Victoria Park features two tertiary institutions: Curtin University (Bentley Campus) and Polytechnic West (Bentley and Carlisle Campuses), with other educational facilities being Canning College, Vose Seminary, Corrective Services Training Academy, and numerous primary and secondary schools. The Town of Victoria Park has numerous recreation, arts, entertainment and sporting venues/facilities; including Crown Perth, Belmont Park Racecourse, Burswood Park Golf Course, Burswood Water Sports Centre, State Tennis Centre, Perth Hockey Stadium, Aqualife Centre, Leisurelife Centre, and many parks and reserves. Centro Victoria Park is the Town’s major retail centre, with another significant retail centre being The Park Centre (East Victoria Park). The Town of Victoria Park is also home to the Boronia Pre-release Centre for Women and the Association for the Blind of WA & Guide Dogs WA.
