Output by industry is a gross measure of the total sales of each industry sector in the City of Wanneroo. It does not measure how productive each industry sector is at producing this output - which is measured by value added.

An analysis of the output by industry sectors in the City of Wanneroo in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing ($3,296 million or 20.2%)
- Construction ($3,047 million or 18.7%)
- Wholesale Trade ($1,112 million or 6.8%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $7,455 million in total or 45.8% of the total output by total industry in the the City of Wanneroo.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Western Australia accounted for 10.0% in Manufacturing; 10.5% in Construction and 2.8% in Wholesale Trade.
