In 2021, there were 8 people who caught public transport to work (train, bus, tram or ferry) in the Yass Valley, compared with 2,845 who drove in private vehicles (car – as driver, car – as passenger, motorbike, or truck).

Analysis of the method of travel to work in the Yass Valley in 2021 compared to the New South Wales workforce within the Yass Valley shows that 0.2% used public transport, while 62.8% used a private vehicle, compared with 3.9% and 47.5% respectively in New South Wales.
