Dominant groups

An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in the Lockyer Valley Regional Council in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Manufacturing ($918 million or 29.7%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance ($309 million or 10.0%)
  • Financial and Insurance Services ($295 million or 9.5%)

In combination these three industries accounted for $1,521 million in total or 49.2% of the total imports by industry in the the Lockyer Valley Regional Council.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in Regional QLD accounted for 30.7% in Manufacturing; 3.7% in Health Care and Social Assistance and 9.7% in Financial and Insurance Services.

The major differences between total imports by industries of the Lockyer Valley Regional Council and Regional QLD were:
