An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in the Shire of Northam in 2021/22 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Manufacturing (277 million or 46.9%)
  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (69 million or 11.7%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (53 million or 9.0%)

In combination these three industries accounted for 399 million in total or 67.6% of the total exports by industry in the the Shire of Northam.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in Western Australia accounted for 12.9% in Manufacturing; 4.0% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing and 4.2% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.
