Dominant groups

An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in Central Coast Council area in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Manufacturing ($313 million or 24.3%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance ($134 million or 10.4%)
  • Public Administration and Safety ($130 million or 10.1%)

In combination these three industries accounted for $577 million in total or 44.9% of the total imports by industry in the Central Coast Council area.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in Tasmania accounted for 28.8% in Manufacturing; 8.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance and 6.5% in Public Administration and Safety.

The major differences between total imports by industries of Central Coast Council area and Tasmania were:
