Dominant groups
An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in Tasmania in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:
- Construction ($9,688million or 25.3%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance ($3,583million or 9.3%)
- Transport, Postal and Warehousing ($2,465million or 6.4%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $15,736 million in total or 41.1% of the total local sales by total industry in the Tasmania.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Tasmania accounted for 25.3% in Construction; 9.3% in Health Care and Social Assistance and 6.4% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.
The major differences between local sales by industries of Tasmania and Tasmania were:
